Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of an order picker:

Packaging orders: Pack picked items into appropriate boxes or containers, ensuring proper labeling and protection during shipping. 

• Quality control: Inspect items for damage or defects before packing. 

• Data entry: Update order information in computer systems, including quantities picked and any issues encountered. 

• Adhering to safety procedures: Follow warehouse safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and wearing safety gear. 

• Picking orders: Read customer orders, locate items on warehouse shelves using scanners or picking lists, and select the correct quantity of products. 
• Inventory management: Verify stock levels, report discrepancies, and restock shelves as needed.
