Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot plant mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, piping systems, generators, air compressors, water heaters, and other industrial equipment.
- Responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors, and the public.
- Self starter and ability to self-direct work.
- Basic knowledge of piping systems, industrial plant equipment, including pumps, motors, engines, and other pertinent equipment.
- Team oriented, flexible and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for the repair and maintenance of plant equipment and piping systems.
- Assist in root cause failure analysis of equipment.
- Assist in repair work performed by contractors when necessary.
- Repair and troubleshoot mechanical problems on all required equipment, including pumps, industrial water heaters, air compressors, and generators.
- Pipe fitting required for FRP, PVC, threaded metal, and welded metal.
- Document repairs as appropriate for RMP.
- Read and comprehend maintenance manuals.
- Read mechanical and electrical prints.
- Able to respond to after hour call outs.
- Assist other disciplines in the plant as required.
- Must have personal set of tools appropriate for the position.
