Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of CNC operators, machinists, and other production staff. Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
- Production Oversight: Plan, schedule, and monitor CNC machine operations to ensure timely and efficient production. Ensure all projects meet quality and specification standards.
- Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Ensure machines are properly calibrated, maintained, and repaired to minimize downtime.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement lean manufacturing principles to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all machined parts meet company and industry quality standards. Work with the quality control department to address any deviations or defects in products.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols in the machining area. Ensure all CNC operators are trained in proper machine operation and safety procedures. Monitor work practices to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Reporting: Track production metrics, machine utilization, and employee performance. Prepare reports for management regarding production progress, downtime, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
