Overview: The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance. This role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Inspect, test, and calibrate systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts using tools, equipment, and expertise.
- Collaborate with engineers or other specialists for complex issues.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Document completed work, equipment status, and recommendations for future actions.
- Provide detailed reports to supervisors on maintenance activities and findings.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
- strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and software used in maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
- May involve exposure to noise, heat, or cold depending on the facility.
