As a Milling & Grain Operator, your responsibilities will include safely loading and unloading trucks, operating sit-down forklifts (minimum of 3 years of forklift experience required), performing routine maintenance and greasing of equipment, and assisting with cleaning bins, silos, and other work areas. You will also learn to operate all equipment according to proper procedures and complete various duties as needed.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of manufacturing experience (farming or grain harvesting experience is a plus), verbal communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. You must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 50-60 pounds, working at heights, and performing tasks such as bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and shoveling. Forklift certification is a plus, and experience backing up trailers or semi-trailers is required (no CDL necessary). Additionally, candidates should have a basic maintenance background, be safety-minded, adaptable, and dependable, and be willing to cross-train and take on various duties. Maintaining a Grain Handler's License is required (or must be obtained upon hire).
