Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small to medium-sized construction crews involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water, sewer, and reclaimed water systems.
- Perform and direct visual inspections of sewer lines.
- Install clean-outs, backflow devices, and other related apparatuses.
- Complete any other related work as needed.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED and three years of skilled field experience in utilities; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid State of Florida Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement (required upon hire).
- Valid Level 3 Water Distribution System Operator License in accordance with Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 62-602.
- Temporary Traffic Control Certification (must be obtained within 9 months of employment).
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work varied schedules, including special, emergency, and disaster situations.
- Ability to perform manual labor in challenging weather conditions for extended periods.
