Responsibilities

This is a direct hire opporunity for 3rd shift , flexibility is required to train on 1st shift . 



A CNC EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) Operator specializes in operating and programming EDM machines, which are used to create intricate and precise components by removing material from a workpiece using electrical discharges or sparks.

Setup and Operation:

• Prepare and set up CNC EDM machines (wire EDM, sinker EDM, or drill EDM) according to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings for precision work, including spark gap, voltage, and feed rate.
• Programming:
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD designs, and engineering drawings.
• Program machines using CAM software or manually input G-code.
• Material Handling:
  
  
• Load and secure workpieces, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
• Work with materials such as steel, titanium, aluminum, and carbide.

Quality Control:

• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Safety:
  
  
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of high-voltage equipment and dielectric fluids.
