Responsibilities
- Use visual, mechanical & electrical testing methods and tools to inspect, evaluate and document all incoming mechanical and electrical products, machined parts and sub-assemblies
- Perform first article inspection and final inspection
- Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc., utilizing PC-based system.
- Review/develop/update inspection control plans.
- Responsible for up-to-date filing of QC-related paperwork, drawings and part samples
- Conduct random in-process quality evaluations of product being manufactured.
- Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified and documents all vendor and manufacturing non-conformances.
- Manage the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product, including supplier communication and resolution.
- Reviews warranty repairs with Production.
- Work directly with Manufacturing, Customer service, Purchasing, Engineering and suppliers on quality issues pertaining to their parts.
- Maintain calibration of equipment and ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements.
