Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and perform service requirements for commercial door systems, including hinges, operators, door sections, rolling steel, torsion springs, dock equipment, and locks.
- Ensure proper tools, equipment, and materials are available before commencing work.
- Communicate effectively with Service Managers, building owners, maintenance managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate work plans and expectations.
- Assess job sites to confirm they are safe and prepared for service work.
- Document service needs, including any necessary alterations or additional work required, and secure approval from the Service Manager or Scheduling Coordinator.
- Service and maintain commercial overhead doors and garage door operators using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools and parts in the service vehicle.
- Conduct daily vehicle and job site safety assessments.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Capacity to lift up to 100 pounds and perform repetitive physical activities, including standing, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifts at varying heights.
- Fluent in English with verbal communication skills.
