Responsibilities

•  Plan, lay-out, weld, install and repair all types of metal components according to blueprints, specifications, codes, and industry standards
• Laying out pieces to be assembled according to blueprints, schematics or work orders
• Using manual/semi-automatic/automatic welding equipment to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials
• Positioning pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications
• Performing minor maintenance to equipment

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 45lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
