Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on pharmaceutical production equipment, including tablet presses, encapsulators, mixers, conveyors, and other specialized machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns of pharmaceutical equipment, minimizing downtime and production disruptions.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new equipment or machinery to meet production demands.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) when performing maintenance tasks.
- Conduct mechanical inspections, identifying potential problems or risks before they result in equipment failure.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance, ensuring traceability for compliance audits.
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend improvements or upgrades to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Quality Assurance) to ensure proper functionality and compliance of equipment.
- Work with electrical and automation teams as needed to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues related to PLCs, motors, and sensors.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and critical repairs, ensuring fast resolution with minimal impact on production schedules.
