Responsibilities
- CNC programmers write and edit code that instructs CNC machines on how to move, what operations to perform, and at what speeds.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models, or engineering drawings to understand the required dimensions, shapes, and specifications for the part to be manufactured.
- Setting up the CNC machine, including loading tools, configuring settings, and ensuring the proper materials are used.
- Simulate the machine operations in software to verify the accuracy of the program and prevent any damage to the machine or material.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving those issues.
