- Staff Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse workers, including hiring, training, and scheduling shifts.
- Ensure that all employees are adhering to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Motivate the team to achieve set targets and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Organize stock in the warehouse efficiently to ensure easy accessibility and prevent damage.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee and optimize all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure the proper use of warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory.
- Ensure products are stored according to their type and handling requirements.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce warehouse safety regulations and procedures, ensuring all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and other local safety laws.
- Inspect warehouse equipment and facilities for safety hazards and report or address them promptly.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that products are picked, packed, and shipped correctly to meet quality standards.
- Review and resolve any issues related to damaged or missing items.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers, working closely with the logistics team.
- Address any customer-related issues, such as order discrepancies, damages, or returns.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, orders processed, and staffing.
- Ensure proper documentation for goods receipt, storage, and dispatch is maintained in compliance with company policies.
