The CNC Setup Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. This role requires a great understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixturing, as well as the ability to accurately and efficiently set up complex jobs. 

salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

Machine Setup:

• Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
• Mount and secure workpieces on fixtures and vises.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, holders, and other tooling components.
• Load and unload workpieces and materials.
• Verify tool offsets and machine parameters
   
• Quality Control:
  • Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Document all setup and machining activities.
     
• Maintenance and Safety:
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
