The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs to manufacture precision parts according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Responsibilities

• Program Development:
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360).
  • Generate G-code and other machine-specific code for various CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
  • Simulate machining processes to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Optimize programs to minimize cycle times and maximize material utilization.
• Process Planning:
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing processes, including selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
  • Analyze part drawings and determine the most efficient machining strategies.
• Troubleshooting:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming errors and machine malfunctions.
  • Work closely with CNC machinists to diagnose and resolve on-the-machine issues.
