- Setup and Operation: Set up and operate Agie or Charmilles EDM machines, ensuring precise machining of parts per specifications.
- Programming: Create, modify, and optimize EDM programs using CAM software or machine controls to meet engineering and production requirements.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals to determine machining processes and setups.
- Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and CMM) to ensure parts meet tolerances and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal machine performance.
- Tooling Management: Select and maintain appropriate tooling and electrodes for each job, ensuring maximum efficiency and precision.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production planners, and quality assurance teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times while maintaining product quality.

Responsibilities
∙ Efficient use of machine tools and time to produce quality parts
∙ Program new high complexity parts from CAD models using Mastercam/Peps software
∙ Design, create, and apply new and complex work holding and fixtures
∙ Setup and run new and repeating high complexity parts
∙ Expertly complete secondary operations such as deburring
∙ Perform basic to advanced machine preventative maintenance activities
∙ Collaborate with production management, engineering, and quality teams to establish effective processes
∙ Work effectively within a team to achieve production goals
∙ Train, mentor, and coach other team members
∙ Set the example for others with workmanship and teamwork
