Responsibilities
- Perform polishing and finishing tasks on turbine blades to achieve precise dimensions, surface smoothness, and finish quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment (e.g., grinders, sanders, buffing machines) to remove burrs, imperfections, and rough edges.
- Inspect and assess parts for defects, surface irregularities, and conformance to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand polishing requirements.
- Maintain consistent quality control standards throughout the polishing process.
- Collaborate with machinists, quality inspectors, and production team members to ensure parts meet engineering specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines for handling tools, equipment, and materials.
- Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Record and document completed work and communicate progress to supervisors.
