- Interpret and work with electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on equipment such as motors, pumps, compressors, chillers, and advanced shop tools like bandsaws, mills, and lathes.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs and control circuits.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
- Accurately document repairs and maintain stock of spare parts.
- Participate in safety and performance activities like audits, near misses, and team meetings.
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely, professionally, and efficiently.
- Experience: 18–24 months in maintenance within a high-speed manufacturing setting. Industry experience in blown films, sheet extruders, flexographic printing, lamination, and slitting is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; electrical maintenance education or experience required.
- Skills: organizational and communication skills, proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, solid knowledge of electricity and control circuits, and a valid forklift operator certification.
- Attributes: Ability to prioritize tasks, read and understand English, and thrive under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Experience with PLCs, drives, and control circuit troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

Responsibilities
Perform all essential functions of Mechanic III position.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including LOTO and safe machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications and technical data.
- Ability to work on motors, contractors and relays with a multimeter to verify component functionality.
- Ability to work on advanced shop equipment such as bandsaws, mills and lathes.
- Must be able to work on Chillers, Process pumps, compressors, ink pumps and Glue pumps.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of electrical controls/PLCs including troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
• Responsible for maintaining all manufacturing process equipment by performing preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, routine repairs and calibration with minimal down time.
• Perform all duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner.
• Diagnose root cause of problems with production equipment to determine best solution: electrical or mechanical.
• Document parts used, and repairs completed in the CMMS. Assist in maintaining appropriate stock of spare parts and parts room is organized.Perform necessary repairs, preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance on plant production equipment and facilities equipment.
