Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on plant electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, generators, control panels, and more.
- Troubleshooting: Utilize electrical test equipment, drawings, blueprints, and PLC schematic diagrams to diagnose and fix equipment issues.
- Upgrades & Calibration: Install new equipment, modify existing systems, and ensure precise calibration of computer relay systems.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisor to ensure seamless operations and minimal downtime.
- Training & Development: Mentor and assist Electricians in PLC and Electromechanical Systems.

- Educational Background: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years working with PLCs and HMI programming.
- Skills: Solid knowledge of AC/DC equipment, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Tools & Tech Savvy: Proficiency with test equipment, reading electrical schematics, and PLC programming using RSLogix 500 and 5000.
- Detail-Oriented: Familiarity with applicable codes and proper installation methods.
- Assisting in emergency breakdowns and performing simple rigging.
- Keeping the work area tidy and contributing to quality improvement processes.
- Familiarity with solid-state control systems.
- Knowledge of PLC networking with Automax (Reliance) systems and Allen Bradley Processors.
- Ability to troubleshoot, modify, and re-write ladder logic programs.

Responsibilities
1.
Obtains work assignments and maintenance schedules from the Maintenance Manager, or Production Supervisor.
2.
Regularly inspects and records condition, on forms provided, on all electrical equipment including motors, generators, control panels, systems, switches, lighting, circuits and circuit breakers; cleans, maintains, adjusts and lubricates equipment, taking all safety precautions.
3.
Uses electrical test equipment, drawings, electrical blueprints, wiring and PLC schematic diagrams, to install new equipment and diagnose problems with inoperative equipment; modifies and improves existing equipment; determines whether or not temporary continuation of operation will have any harmful effect on equipment; advises Crew Chief and Production Supervisor when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage; determines methods to minimize interruption of production.
4.
Performs temporary or permanent repairs; corrects defective circuits by determining cause of failure and replacing circuit components; repairs motors, cranes, generators and other equipment; performs mechanical repairs as required.
5.
Stop, starts and adjusts industrial oven gas and air.
6.
Monitors, inspects and calibrates computer relay systems, analyzes and make repairs on same.
7.
Will train and assist in development of Electricians in PLC and Electromechanical Systems.
