Role Summary: Randstad is seeking a Forklift Mechanic to join our client’s team. As the sole Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, electric walkie jacks, HI-LO jacks, and battery chargers. This role requires a strong technical background with the ability to work independently. ualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of technical courses in auto repair, with a focus on fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, transmissions, and engine repairs.
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in:
- Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Mechanical construction and internal combustion engines.
- Electric motors applied to lift trucks and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle parts and tools up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working with industrial machinery and tools.
- Pay: $34/hour.

Responsibilities

- Conduct preventive maintenance on lift trucks and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair internal combustion engines and electric motors.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for repairs and diagnostics.
- Inspect and service fuel systems, transmissions, and mechanical engine components.
- Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
