Position Overview As a CNC Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and programming CNC machines, ensuring all aspects of the production process are met with precision, efficiency, and safety. You will be working closely with our engineering and production teams to produce high-quality parts, with a focus on accuracy and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and program CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure machine setup meets design requirements.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and maintain quality.
- Perform tool changes, tool offsets, and workpiece setup on CNC machines.
- Ensure the production of high-precision components within tolerance levels using proper feeds, speeds, and cutting techniques.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on CNC equipment to ensure proper function and prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to solve problems and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all setups, programs, and adjustments for traceability and quality control.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Proven experience as a CNC Technician with an understanding of CNC machine setup, programming, and operation.
- Proficient in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code, FANUC, Haas, Siemens).
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
- Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in ensuring precision and quality in finished parts.
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools.

Teaching toolmakers, machinists and apprentices CNC techniques and programming
skills when needed.
