Randstad is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing company in Bloomington, MN on a direct hire basis. Join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our production equipment and facilities! Schedule Details:
- Training Schedule: Monday-Thursday 12:00 pm-10:30 pm
- After Training Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:45 pm-2:15 am
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in mechanical devices.
- Dismantle devices, replace defective parts, and install replacements.
- Modify machinery to meet production needs.
- Lubricate and clean parts.
- Test repaired devices.
- Operate metalworking tools (drill press, grinder, welder).
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain maintenance records.
- Work with Supply Chain for parts purchasing.
- Utilize the CMMS module in the ERP system.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Respond to chemical spills.
- A.A. degree or 5+ years of related experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer systems.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
salary: $55,000 - $72,800 per year

Responsibilities
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and diagnoses malfunctions.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Makes approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts. Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to
- fabricate and repair parts.
- Effectively install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, conveyor systems, and facilities related equipment within the plant.
- Keeps accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records and ensures that all revisions to equipment and tools are properly recorded.
- Determines equipment/parts needed for repair. Works with Supply Chain department to purchase.
- Utilizes the CMMS module in the ERP system.
- Keeps the shop and work area neat and orderly.
- Ability to solve a variety of practical problems by using experience and logic.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
