Job Location: Pooler, GA 31408 Shift: Monday-Friday, 5AM- 2-4AM Work Environment: Cold Storage Facility (Temperature Range: -5°F to 40°F) Pay: $17/hour
Job Description: We are seeking experienced and dependable Forklift Operators to support warehouse operations in a cold storage environment. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts to transport, store, and manage materials efficiently across multiple warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate stand-up, sit-down, and other forklift equipment from brands such as Crown, Raymond, and Hyster.
- Safely load and unload trucks, handling materials with care and precision.
- Transport goods to designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory by scanning and tracking materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working in temperature conditions ranging from -5°F to 40°F.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to meet deadlines and ensure efficient operations.
- Stand for extended periods and assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Prior experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Certification (or ability to obtain certification) for operating forklifts, including stand-up and sit-down models.
- Familiarity with forklift brands such as Crown, Raymond, and Hyster is preferred.
- Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions, including freezing environments.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to stand for long durations and lift heavy materials as required.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
