Are you a mechanically inclined professional looking to work in a hands-on role? Join our team as a Tool Room Technician, where you’ll maintain, repair, and improve essential tools and molds for a high-performing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of tooling, molds, and fixtures.
- Execute insert changes and resolve mold breakdowns.
- Issue and receive tooling from the tool room, ensuring proper documentation.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in plastic injection molding is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers.
- Proficiency in general hand tools (e.g., hammers, wrenches) and willingness to learn operation of mills, grinders, and lathes.
- Detail-oriented with organizational skills and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent movements, including ascending/descending machinery and working at various heights.
- Commitment to excellent attendance, a positive attitude, and adherence to safety practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Indoor production and tool room settings.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and use of hand/power tools.
- Regular interaction with machinery and heavy equipment, adhering to OSHA standards.
