Responsibilities
- Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Monitoring the current parts inventory
- Pricing parts to maintain profitability
- Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them
- Helping internal customers find and purchase the correct parts
- Overseeing special project parts and supply orders
- Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs
- Coordinate the Maintenance Plan with the Production Plan to block time period and ensure that the maintenance is being executed in accordance with the availability of equipment agreed upon
- Generate and direct Maintenance Work Orders for all proactive maintenance
- Document notifications depending on the urgency of the service requests
- Update information about equipment specifications, complimentary information, spare parts, and maintenance activity history
- Maintain and manage the Maintenance Backlog, including its prioritization for planning and scheduling
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing production experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office required
- Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory, pricing and estimates
- Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment
- Leadership skills to keep the parts department running smoothly
