Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment, such as metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments, following blueprints and specifications.
- Visually inspect and listen to machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to access problem areas using hand and power tools.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues, and test equipment following repairs.
- Realign and adjust components like spindles and clutches using hand tools and diagrams.
- Locate damaged air or hydraulic pipes on machinery, measure, cut, thread, and install new pipes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot basic power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, wiring methods, and materials.
- Troubleshoot basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components, including photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, VFD drives, frequency controls, and encoders.
- Understand and troubleshoot PLC programs, including ladder logic, components, and communication modules.
