Job Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing systems in a chemical plant, including mechanical, hydraulic, and some electrical components. This role ensures that equipment operates efficiently, directly supporting production and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and service mechanical, hydraulic, and some electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and more.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Conduct routine inspections and address repair requests.
- Operate various equipment such as lathes, drills, presses, and overhead cranes for maintenance tasks.
- Fabricate replacement parts as needed, using machine shop tools (welding experience is a plus).
- Complete preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- strong mechanical maintenance skills; industrial electrical (including PLC) experience is a plus.
- Proficient in stick welding & using hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (blueprints, schematics).
