We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The Forklift Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of forklift trucks and material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have amazing technical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience in diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issues in a wide variety of forklift models. The Forklift Mechanic will work to ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely to minimize downtime and improve productivity. Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance and Repairs:
  
  
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts.
  • Repair and replace worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
  • Perform battery inspections and maintenance, including checking charge levels and cleaning terminals.
  • Repair and replace hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, and hoses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, switches, sensors, and controllers.
• Diagnose and Troubleshoot Issues:
  
  
  • Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and knowledge to assess mechanical failures and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Identify and resolve problems with fuel systems, lift mechanisms, and powertrain systems.
  • Complete diagnostic checks and troubleshooting procedures for both gas and electric-powered forklifts.
• Safety and Compliance:
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, guidelines, and manufacturer specifications during repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct safety inspections on all equipment to ensure proper operation and safe usage.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safety during maintenance and repair work.
  • Maintain clear and accurate service logs and records for each forklift and repair job performed.
