Responsibilities
1. Machine Setup:
- Prepare and set up CNC machines, including configuring tools, loading raw materials, and ensuring the correct machine parameters are entered.
- Install and adjust fixtures, tool holders, and cutting tools according to job specifications.
- Program CNC machines using G-code or other relevant programming languages to execute precise cuts and operations.
- Modify or troubleshoot existing programs based on specifications or issues encountered during production.
- Use CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create or optimize tool paths.
- Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to manufacture parts to exact specifications.
- Monitor the machine’s performance during operation, adjusting settings to ensure quality production.
- Conduct test runs and adjustments to fine-tune machine performance or troubleshoot problems.
- Measure and inspect parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
- Perform in-process inspections and adjust machine settings or tools to ensure parts are consistently produced to the required standards.
- Record measurements and inspection results to maintain quality records.
