The CDL B Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating commercial vehicles, transporting goods or passengers, and ensuring the vehicle is properly maintained. This position requires adherence to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies. Drivers will often be expected to load and unload cargo, as well as perform routine vehicle inspections. Responsibilities

• Operate Commercial Vehicles: Drive trucks, buses, or other vehicles requiring a Class B CDL. This could include delivery vehicles, waste collection trucks, or passenger transport vehicles.
• Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and safety regulations. This includes compliance with Hours of Service regulations, inspections, and vehicle maintenance checks.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety. Report any maintenance or repair needs.
• Cargo Handling: Safely load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring the safe transportation of goods. Some positions may require the driver to lift or carry items.
• Route Planning and Time Management: Follow assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries or pick-ups while considering potential delays or detours.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods to clients or picking up items as per the schedule. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of driving hours, cargo, and delivery logs, ensuring compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
