Responsibilities

• Operate Manual Machines: Set up and operate a variety of manual machines including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to machine parts according to specifications.
• Work with Tight Tolerances: Precisely measure and fabricate components within strict tolerances (e.g., +/- 0.0005 inches) to ensure high-quality finished products.
• Material Handling: Work with a wide range of metals, including steel, aluminum, brass, and exotic alloys, ensuring proper machining techniques for each material type.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately produce parts and assemblies.
• Tool Setup and Maintenance: Select and set up appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings for each job; monitor tools and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time
