Must-Have Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of EHS experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry or a similar regulated environment.
- Proven expertise in managing workers' compensation programs and reducing associated costs.
- Experience conducting safety audits and implementing ISO 14001 compliance.
- OSHA 30-hour certification or higher.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Pharmaceutical GMP certification preferred.
- strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA, and workers' compensation regulations applicable to pharmaceutical operations.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, cleanrooms, and hazardous material handling.
- Proven experience in manufacturing safety practices, audits, and compliance programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and develop safety solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills to train employees and collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in EHS management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Workers' Compensation Management
- Handle injury reporting, investigations, and liaise with insurance providers.
- Support injured employees through claims, medical care, and return-to-work processes.
- Analyze data to reduce injury frequency and control costs.
- Develop and maintain EHS policies tailored to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and oversee training programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Maintain safety records and submit required regulatory reports.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate on risk mitigation strategies and promote continuous safety improvements.
- Oversee waste management and hazardous material disposal.
- Support sustainability and pollution prevention initiatives.
