Responsibilities
The role involves utilizing company vehicles (pickup, flatbed, van) to transport requested items between company locations in the greater Sacramento area as needed. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring proper packaging and securing of items for transport.
- Picking up and delivering products to and from vendors as required.
- Loading and unloading trucks for commercial freight shipments and deliveries.
- Packaging and crating items for freight shipments as directed.
- Ensuring all required documentation accompanies items and is delivered to the correct personnel or vendors.
- Transporting parts, tools, and manufacturing travelers from material control to work centers.
- Operating forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Obtaining and maintaining necessary forklift certifications.
