Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Monitor manufacturing and packaging processes to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
- Perform tests and analyses to verify product specifications, including physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations.
- Identify and report non-conformances, deviations, and potential food safety hazards, and work with the team to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of inspections, test results, and quality control activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and other applicable standards.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s food safety and quality assurance programs.
- Participate in internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
- Train employees on food safety and quality standards to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
