We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a team in the Columbia SC area. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in CNC machining, including the operation and programming of CNC mills and lathes. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision engineering are essential for success in this role. salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders.

Program CNC machines using CAM software and edit programs as necessary to optimize production processes.

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production of parts.

Select appropriate tools, materials, and speeds for each job based on project requirements.

Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Conduct quality inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC equipment to maintain production efficiency.

Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
