Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines, to manufacture and repair precision tools and dies.
- Fabricate, modify, and maintain jigs, fixtures, molds, and other tooling components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise machining and tooling production.
- Conduct inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure products meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and tooling to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot tooling and machining challenges and recommend process improvements.
- Program and edit CNC machinery as needed to achieve desired specifications and efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of machining operations, tooling adjustments, and maintenance activities.
