️ Role Overview: This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role based in the Holbrook, NY. As a Diesel Technician, you'll be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance, preventive services, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure trucks are operating at peak performance. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will directly contribute to the company's high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform diesel repairs, services, and diagnostics.
- Provide excellent customer service and support.
- Respond to road calls as needed.
- Keep certifications up to date and actively pursue additional training and ASE certifications.
- Utilize prior diesel mechanic experience to diagnose and repair malfunctions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining efficiency.
- Inspect trucks to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
- Diagnose mechanical issues by inspecting, testing, and listening to equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state vehicle regulations, including engine, safety, and emission standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Diesel Mechanic/Technician training is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude for truck repairs.
- Prior experience in a union shop is a plus.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
