Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions to equipment breakdowns using expertise in mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving.
- Operate machine shop tools including mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, and other related equipment.
- Set up, take down, and relocate process and packaging equipment as necessary.
- Regularly modify packaging and process equipment to accommodate new products and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and increase operational efficiency.
- Provide solutions to both routine and unique equipment problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Respond promptly to equipment-related issues in a customer-oriented manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including those related to process instrumentation/control systems, 120-480V systems, variable speed drives, and PLC-related issues (primarily Allen Bradley systems, with some Siemens systems included).
