Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class B preferred.
- Diesel mechanic training is a plus, but not required.
- truck mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with diesel engines and systems.
- Ability to communicate professionally with both customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, conduct routine servicing, and perform detailed diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
- Respond to road calls and drive to job sites as needed to provide on-site repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain required certifications and stay up-to-date with ongoing training. A desire to pursue additional ASE certifications and training classes is encouraged.
- Prioritize diesel mechanic experience, bringing a thorough understanding of diesel systems and equipment.
- Possess a valid CDL Class B and drive throughout Long Island to perform on-site repairs and services.
- Diagnose mechanical malfunctions, ensuring all components are functioning properly and efficiently.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, completing tasks in a timely and effective manner.
- Inspect trucks and equipment to verify proper working condition, ensuring safety and reliability before operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment, and ensuring machinery is well-maintained.
