Responsibilities
- Supervise and train a small team of Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure that daily inspection procedures and tasks are completed effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products to ensure compliance with company specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of quality control processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards. Must have SQF and PCQI Certification
- Document quality inspection results and track performance metrics to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Perform audits of production lines and facilities to ensure quality standards are being met consistently.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Production, Packaging, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Maintain records of quality testing and inspection, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist with audits and inspections by regulatory agencies, customers, or third-party organizations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new product testing protocols and quality assurance procedures.
- Monitor inventory of inspection tools and materials and request replacements as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to quality processes and systems.
