Tool Crib attendant will be responsible for supplying tools used in the CNC production floor. This includes changing tools in tool holders, measurement on laser measurement system, labelling and detailed organization skill due to the large number of tools involved. In addition, the role includes maintaining inventory in the tool inventory system, communicating with machinists and operators on tool availability and tool quality issues, and with managers related to tool supply, ordering and tool quality.
The ideal candidate has experience operating CNC milling machines and is focused and attentive with basic PC knowledge and good with operating machinery.
Responsibilities:
· Replace worn tools with new tool holder in BT/CAT tool holders, measure and label tools.
· Maintain records of withdrawals and returns of tooling in tool inventory system (FTS).
· Inspects and measures tools and tool holder for defects, wear and tear. Performs basic repair on tool holders and reports to manager.
· Maintain up-to-date information on shop supplies and records supplies as required.
· Maintain organization and housekeeping in crib.
· Other duties as assigned.
