The Plant Production Manager will be the ultimate source for accountability for full life-cycle production of all finished goods. This includes establishing and communicating the production schedule, coordinating material availability, and aligning personnel necessary to produce a high-quality product that meets customer demands. This role manages all production activities in a timely manner, however never at the expense of safety and quality requirements. The Plant Production Manager must always be evaluating continues improvement opportunities in order to meet all operational goals for production, safety, quality, customer service, waste reduction, and cost control.
Minimum Qualifications: • 5-10 Years of experience in a wide variety of Operations functions (e.g. production, warehouse management, supply chain, etc.) with a proven track record • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience with direct management of production personnel in a manufacturing environment • Demonstrated success in delivering production goals that help fulfill organization objectives, directly and through a team. • Lean manufacturing training and/or ISO9000 experience preferred but not required • Extensive knowledge of systems related to overall print finishing business. • Must be able to pass physical and drug tests

Responsibilities
Production Management • Oversee and direct all plant operations and department supervisors, establishing a culture of accountability that drives a continues improvement mindset • Develop long term utilization and capacity planning models that allow for the creation of short-term production schedules • Oversee daily workflow/order execution for all production departments o Direct leads/supervisors on daily schedule o Ensure on-time delivery o Ensure priority orders are processed • Oversee all machine maintenance and repairs as required • Create, track and report production KPIs to the management team. • Run machines as needed Labor Management • Maintain satisfaction with the plant's staffing requirements partnering with GM/HR to fill open positions • Monitor and provide feedback on direct report performance to motivate and provide development opportunities, and if necessary, performance management and discipline process • Management of labor scheduling, workforce utilization (hours and overall labor costs • Driving training on primary machines, cross training and cross utilization of team members
