Responsibilities
- Inspect Incoming Shipments: Examine products for damages and verify the contents match the accompanying purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
- Documentation and Recording: Accurately record the details of each shipment, including the receipt of goods, product codes, quantities, and any discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that received goods are stored in the correct location within the warehouse for easy retrieval, and assist in maintaining proper stock levels.
- Quality Control: Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to management or vendors and ensure that corrective action is taken.
- Shipping Coordination: Collaborate with other warehouse staff to move goods to their designated locations and prepare them for distribution or sale.
- Organize and Maintain the Receiving Area: Keep the receiving dock and storage area clean and organized, ensuring safe practices are followed at all times.
- Assist with Stocktaking: Help during regular inventory audits by counting and verifying stock.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols while handling goods and operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
