Responsibilities
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse logistics team. This role involves handling bonded goods, coordinating the receipt and processing of international shipments, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with customs documentation, including CBP Forms 7512 and 7501, and possess strong organizational and computer skills.
- Cargo Handling: Oversee the receipt, inspection, and secure storage of imported bonded goods.
- Documentation Management:
- Prepare and review CBP Forms 7512 (Transportation Entry and Manifest of Goods) and 7501 (Entry Summary) to ensure compliance with customs requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all bonded shipments.
- Work closely with customs brokers and freight carriers to facilitate the smooth movement of bonded cargo while ensuring timely customs clearance.
- Track and monitor bonded goods inventory within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with bonded cargo regulations and timely payment of duties, taxes, and fees.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools for shipment tracking, inventory management, and documentation processing.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50ibs
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting with frequent standing, walking, and occasional bending or lifting
