Role Summary: Randstad is seeking an experienced Tool Room Machinist to join our client’s team. The Tool Room Machinist is responsible for machining and building fixtures, setting up and operating CNCs and machining centers via Mastercam, and repairing and maintaining tools. This role also includes working with various machine tools, ensuring production flow, and ordering necessary materials and tools.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience in machining, tool repair, and CNC operation.
- Experience with Fanuc and Mazak lathe and mill controls is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Tool Room machines, including lathe, Bridgeport mill, drill presses, grinders, and hardness testers.
- strong understanding of alloy tool steel properties and heat treatment limits.
- 3-5 years of experience with turning and milling set-up, all-around machining, and Mastercam.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints.
- Reliable with good communication skills.
- Standing for over 75% of the time.
- Crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 10 lbs. or more as required.
- Steel-toe safety footwear, safety glasses with side shields, and hearing protection required (provided if needed).

Responsibilities
- Machine and build fixtures and devices for product finishing and machining operations.
- Set up and operate CNCs and machining centers using Mastercam.
- Build new forming and sizing dies to produce products such as elbow-cap-reducer forming.
- Repair and maintain tools to ensure continuous production.
- Monitor production flow and address issues at the worksite press.
- Order perishable tools, alloy, and tool steels according to specifications.
- Operate forklifts to assist in tool room operations.
