Responsibilities
- Operate polishing, grinding, and finishing tools to smooth, deburr, and polish metal parts and surfaces.
- Perform hand and machine grinding to achieve desired surface textures and finishes.
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards.
- Select appropriate abrasive tools, grinding discs, and polishing compounds based on material type and desired finish.
- Maintain and troubleshoot grinding and polishing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Clean, maintain, and organize work areas while adhering to safety standards.
- Identify and correct defects such as scratches, pits, and uneven surfaces.
- Collaborate with welders and fabricators to ensure finished products meet production goals.
