Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance to repair machines, equipment, and buildings
- Repair mechanical equipment, change molds in presses, rebuild injector guns, and conduct general preventative maintenance
- Use hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, drills, etc.) for routine tasks
- Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, including high-speed filling equipment, automated presses, and molding machines
- Ensure proper operation of electrical and mechanical components (push buttons, switches, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)
- Reassemble equipment such as gearboxes, reducers, molds, and pumps
- Install components (seals, bearings, belts, chains, etc.) in machinery
- Wire and install electric motors, repair basic wiring, and replace lighting fixtures following National Electric Code (NEC)
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment to ensure smooth operation
- Diagnose and repair centrifugal/positive displacement pumps
- Follow plant safety rules and assist in identifying/eliminating safety hazards
- Monitor quality of work output and maintenance procedures
- Assist in meeting cost standards for materials, supplies, and equipment usage
- Maintain a clean, organized working area and assist other departments with cleanliness and organization
- Report problems or concerns to supervisors
- Maintain good working relationships with team members and other departments
- Attend work regularly and follow assigned schedules
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management
