We are seeking a skilled Flexo Press Operator to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Flexographic press to produce and convert raw materials into high-quality finished products. If you are passionate about precision and quality, we want to hear from you!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reposition printing plates, adjust pressure rolls, and make other machine adjustments to improve print quality.
- Inspect printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and defects using specific test methods and equipment.
- Review job orders to determine details such as quantities, production times, stock specifications, and color requirements.
- Select and install printing plates, dies, and cylinders according to job specifications.
- Monitor printing processes to maintain operating levels and detect malfunctions, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Operate equipment at required speeds to ensure proper ink coverage, alignment, and registration.
- Load, position, and adjust unprinted materials on equipment.
- Mix and test inks and varnishes, ensuring proper color and viscosity.
- Maintain and adjust equipment through preventive maintenance techniques.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain presses and components using appropriate tools and materials.
- Remove printed materials from presses and transport them to storage or finishing areas.
- Ensure adherence to quality control processes and procedures, supporting the company’s internal audit program.
- Maintain daily time and materials usage reports using the company’s computer management system.
- Ensure that all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in printing (preferred but not required).
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to measure and adjust materials.

Responsibilities

- Inspects and examines printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects using specific test methods and equipment
- Examines job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences
- Selects and install printing plates, dies, and cylinders in machines according to specifications
- Monitors the printing processes of presses in order to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions; make any necessary adjustments
- Operates equipment at required speed to ensure proper ink coverage, alignment, and registration
- Loads, positions, and adjusts unprinted materials on equipment
- Pours ink and other materials into reservoirs of printing units, making measurements and adjustments to control color and viscosity
- Maintains, or adjusts equipment using proper preventive maintenance techniques
- Blends and tests inks and varnishes according to types of material being printed and work order specifications
- Cleans and lubricates presses and components, using oil, solvents, brushes, and rags
- Removes printed materials from presses and transports them to storage or finishing areas
- Ensures the work conducted within the production area is performed in a safe and efficient manners
