Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Mazak) with Fanuc controls to produce aerospace components.
- Program, set up, and run 5-axis milling operations, ensuring precise measurements and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM models to determine the appropriate machining processes.
- Perform regular quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) to ensure parts meet aerospace tolerances and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machines, tooling, and programs as needed to ensure smooth operations and high-quality results.
- Work closely with the engineering and quality control teams to ensure all parts meet aerospace industry standards.
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for parts produced, including inspection results and machine maintenance records.
- Ensure proper machine setup, tool changes, and part loading/unloading for efficient production cycles.
- Monitor the operation of the machine to detect any issues and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions to the maintenance department.
