Responsibilities
- Design & Fabrication: Construct custom event structures, props, and scenic elements based on design specifications and creative direction.
- Material Selection & Preparation: Choose appropriate materials (wood, metal, acrylic, etc.), measure, cut, and assemble pieces with precision.
- Scenic Construction: Build and install staging, backdrops, set pieces, and decorative elements for events such as trade shows, weddings, and corporate events.
- Custom Builds: Create unique furniture, bars, displays, and interactive installations tailored to each event’s theme.
- Assembly & Installation: Transport, set up, and break down structures at event sites while ensuring stability and safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, production teams, and other event specialists to bring concepts to life.
- Detailing & Finishing: Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to enhance the final look of structures.
- Problem-Solving: Adapt designs or make on-site modifications as needed to accommodate venue constraints.
- Equipment & Tool Handling: Operate power tools, hand tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
- Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines while working in the shop and at event sites.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine inspections and repairs of event structures to ensure longevity and reusability.
